Terms of Service

Last updated: August 14, 2026

These terms govern your use of Chartimator (the “Service”), operated by the team behind Mapimator. By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Chartimator lets you create animated chart videos from data you provide or that an AI assistant drafts at your request, and to export those videos as files rendered in your browser. The Service is currently offered in beta: features may change, break, or be discontinued, and availability is not guaranteed.

2. Your content and data

You retain all rights to the data you provide and the videos you export. We claim no ownership of your output, and you may use exported videos for any lawful purpose, including commercial use.

During the beta, projects are stored locally in your browser; we do not host them. If you use the AI Director, your prompt and any attached data are transmitted to our AI provider to generate a scene plan.

You are responsible for the content you create: for having the rights to the data you use, and for the accuracy of any figures you publish. AI-drafted figures are provided as a starting point, are clearly flagged in the editor, and must be verified by you before publication.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to create content that is unlawful, that deliberately misrepresents data with intent to deceive, that infringes others' rights, or to attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload the Service. AI features are subject to fair-use limits.

4. Paid plans

The Service is currently free. If paid plans launch, their price, features, and billing terms will be presented at purchase, processed by our payment provider, and covered by our Refund Policy. Continued use of a paid plan after a change in its terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

5. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data stored in your browser. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, during the free beta, is zero).

6. Changes and contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the date above. Questions: support@chartimator.com.
