Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 14, 2026

Chartimator is built to keep your data on your machine. This policy explains what little we process, and when.

1. What stays in your browser

Your projects, imported CSV files, and rendered videos are processed and stored locally in your browser (localStorage and in-memory rendering). During the beta we operate no project database: we cannot see your projects, and clearing your browser storage deletes them.

2. What we process

AI Director requests: when you use a prompt, the prompt text and any attached data are sent to our server and forwarded to our AI model provider (currently DeepSeek) to generate a scene plan. These requests are used to produce your result and for abuse prevention; do not include confidential data in prompts if that concerns you — you can always use the editor without AI.

Standard server logs: like every website, our hosting provider records basic request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) for security and operations.

3. What we don't do

We do not sell personal data. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. We do not use your project data to train models.

4. When accounts launch

If you later create an account, we will store your email, profile, saved projects, and (for paid plans) billing status. Payments will be processed by our payment provider (Paddle), which acts as merchant of record — we never see your full card details. This policy will be updated before those features launch.

5. Your rights and contact

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold. During the beta we hold almost none, but we will honor such requests where applicable. Contact: support@chartimator.com.
